RINGANA campus, St. Johann in der Haide, AT

ATP designs for an Austrian manufacturer of natural cosmetics

The new building on the 12-hectare site close to the access road to the A2 Motorway consists of three interconnected elements and will contain production, administration, and logistics areas.

In harmony with nature
RINGANA manufactures all its products with a focus on sustainability and their environmental impact. As a partner, ATP appears perfectly placed to translate these basic principles into built form. Integrated design with BIM enables the need for energy efficiency and the potential of the building to make savings throughout its entire lifecycle to be recognized and addressed at an early stage. In addition to a major photovoltaic plant there are also plans for high-performance heat pumps and the use of natural refrigerants. Around 9,500 m2 of green space on the roof guarantee a natural spatial climate inside the building and make up for any loss of green habitat.

Fresh and transparent
The heart of the new building is the high-tech ‘fresh’ production facility which has a capacity of up to 30,000 kg per day. This comprises the production, quality management, and research and development areas. A visitor walkway with a glass wall that floats at a height of four meters above the space offers glimpses of the cosmetics production process.
The façade consists of a white frame and strip structure that communicates RINGANA’s key message of freshness to the outside while these strips also provide solar protection.
