ATP Vienna is awarded a framework contract for the phased remodeling of Linz Airport
Linz Airport is getting a new look: As part of a negotiation procedure carried out in 2019, ATP Vienna – together with amd.sigma Airport Management + Development – was commissioned with the phased remodeling and modernization of Linz Airport, which should take place without affecting normal operations. The basis for the makeover of the airport that was built in 1955 is a framework contract (“General planer and site supervision services for the building project at Linz Airport”) scheduled to last eight years. The first part – the updating of the food court and the new freight building – is now “ready for take-off.”
“Space down below”
Who wouldn’t want to work here? The new headquarters of Markas in Bolzano, which were integrally designed with BIM by ATP, are more than 40 meters high and yet the innovative load-bearing structure means that there’s still “space down below”. A stylishly cool garden level at a height of 14 meters above the ground and open office spaces that are flooded with daylight and offer breathtaking views are amongst the major assets of the office building, which lends the company a true sense of identity and is, naturally, designed to the highest energy efficiency standards.

The groundbreaking ceremony for the new facility of the system supplier and global market leader for building services technology marked the start of construction of a building that will become a reference project in many ways: The building on Austria’s idyllic Attersee, which has been integrally designed with BIM by ATP Vienna and ATP sustain, has a particularly impressive economic footprint: The new-build project received a record number of points according to the requirements of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) and has already been presented a “platinum” pre-certificate. The concept for the interactive Viega seminar center also breaks new ground and redefines the existing standards for training centers.
Topping-out ceremony for Terminal 2 at Berlin Brandenburg Airport
A key intermediate objective has been reached: The shell-and-core of Terminal 2 of Berlin Brandenburg Airport has been completed. It will be possible to process up to six million passengers a year here from October 2020, at which point BER Airport should also be opened.
