ATP CEO Christoph M. Achammer and Lars Oberwinter, Managing Director of Plandata, on the digitalization of the construction sector.
Due to the Covid-19 measures, this year’s Building Life Congress had to take place online - which was actually very appropriate for an event on the subject of digital construction, design, and operation! All speakers delivered their lectures online between 13th and 20th May. ATP CEO Christoph M. Achammer addressed the subject of the digitalization of the building industry and Lars Oberwinter, Managing Director of Plandata, offered some interesting insights into the potential of BIM as an instrument of quality assurance.
A “smart” building for a technology leader
In Mannheim, where ABB Deutschland was established 120 years ago, ATP Frankfurt is now planning a multifunctional building for agile and customer-oriented work. The building, with a gross floor area of 24,000 m2 should provide a home to around 1,200 employees – from operative teams, the research center, and service divisions.
Shopping Center ALEJA in Ljubljana, SL
With its compelling and meticulously realized concept, the newly-opened ALEJA shopping center in the Slovenian capital of Ljubljana, which was designed by ATP architects engineers (Innsbruck), offers the perfect platform for international and local labels in around 80 shops with a total of 32,000 m2 of lettable space. With its rooftop leisure, sport, and relaxation areas and its stylish food court, the technically and architecturally innovative building responds to the competition from online retailers while also giving space back to the surrounding urban district.
ATP and Plandata’s unconventional approach to the democratization of BIM standards
Is corona now leading to a BIM boom? Lars Oberwinter isn’t leaning his head quite so far out of the window ... but the BIM expert is convinced that the current situation is showing us more than ever that non-BIM-supported ways of working have already reached the limit of their capacity.
ATP Vienna is awarded a framework contract for the phased remodeling of Linz Airport
Linz Airport is getting a new look: As part of a negotiation procedure carried out in 2019, ATP Vienna – together with amd.sigma Airport Management + Development – was commissioned with the phased remodeling and modernization of Linz Airport, which should take place without affecting normal operations. The basis for the makeover of the airport that was built in 1955 is a framework contract (“General planer and site supervision services for the building project at Linz Airport”) scheduled to last eight years. The first part – the updating of the food court and the new freight building – is now “ready for take-off.”
