Designer Outlet Croatia, which was integrally designed with BIM by ATP, has received the Austrian Green Planet Building Award.

The resource-friendly energy concept, which was developed by ATP in close cooperation with ATP sustain, has been honored before: The outlet was the first building of its type in Croatia to receive BREEAM “Excellent” Certification.

In order to maximize the positive energy footprint of the building, ATP Zagreb opted to create a pile foundation that could make use of geothermal energy. This covers 100 % of heating demand in winter and 70 % of the energy requirements of the cooling system in summer. In addition to this, the Designer Outlet has 1,200 solar panels that generate an annual average of 382 MWh of solar power.

Austrian Green Planet Building Award
Energy efficiency and the use of renewable sources are the focus of the Austrian Green Planet Building Award (AGPB). The award applies the objectives and the strict criteria of klimaaktiv, the Austrian climate protection initiative, to the international construction and real estate industry and honors the international contribution of Austrian designers, consultants, builders, and producers in the field of sustainable building.
AGPB is a joint umbrella brand of the Federal Ministry for Climate Action, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation, and Technology (BMK) and AUSSENWIRTSCHAFT AUSTRIA (AWA).
