ATP architects engineers has added the experienced construction engineer Christoph Wedlich to its leadership team. Since the beginning of the year he has been heading ATP’s Munich office, with its more than 70 employees, alongside the architect Michaela Hauser.
Christoph Wedlich brings many years of management experience and know-how gathered during three decades of planning and managing construction and infrastructure projects for public and private clients. Wedlich particularly admires the high level of professionalism of all the design disciplines at ATP in the context of digital integrated design. Within the Munich office, he places great value on the special status of interdisciplinary cooperation and knowledge management within the ATP network: “We at ATP have a huge wealth of know-how and experience in the field of digitalization and sustainability, which should be fully exploited in the spirit of the vision of the ATP Green Deal,” explains the Managing Director.
In cooperation with ATP’s local subsidiaries, including ITA engineering, ATP Zero, and ATP sustain, Wedlich plans to position ATP Munich more clearly in the areas of sustainability and ESG compatibility. The engineer, who trained at the Technical University of Munich, believes that the backlog in questions of sustainability in the construction sector is particularly acute in Germany.
“For example, the construction industry must become more aware of its responsibility for our environment and do everything possible in such areas as saving resources and avoiding waste. The approach to gray energy is particularly important – as exemplified by the shift away from new building and towards the conversion of existing structures,” says Wedlich, adding that the strict, self-determined criteria of the ATP Green Deal mean that ATP is perfectly placed to develop projects that are fit for the future.

He has been Managing Director/Engineering of ATP architects engineers in Munich since January 2024.
