ATP architects engineers is supporting the integration project “Locugee: awakening potentials”
This year, ATP architects engineers’ annual Christmas donation is benefitting “Locugee: awakening potentials,” which is organized by the JRS – Jesuit Refugee Service in Vienna. Grand Central, Vienna
The “Grand Central” office building at Vienna’s Floridsdorf Station is a hybrid timber building par excellence, because the building complex had to be built as quickly as possible, due to its extremely busy location. In addition to this, this environmentally-friendly building method was also a game changer in terms of the key structural requirement – that the building had to be as light as possible due to the fact that it is supported by the metro tunnel that passes below it. The elegant role played by the (completely invisible) use of timber in the integrated design of the building with Building Information Modeling (BIM) comes as a particularly pleasant surprise.
Opening of the new grid control center of LINZ NETZ GmbH
LINZ AG celebrated the completion of the new grid control center of LINZ NETZ GmbH on Wiener Straße with a symbolic handing-over of the key in the presence of numerous guests. The identity-defining concept by ATP architects engineers is notable for its particularly sustainable building and facade technology. The combination of the use of the building’s own energy grid and regenerative sources of energy with a new district heating plant and cooling tower are enabling lifecycle costs to be dramatically reduced. In this way, the new building is fully aligned with both the EU Climate Objectives and the client’s budgetary targets.
Ceremonial opening of the new Škoda headquarters in Mladá Boleslav
After almost two years on site, ATP architects engineers joined the clients, media representatives, and many other guests to celebrate the opening of Škoda Auto’s new state-of-the-art corporate headquarters. ATP Vienna and ATP sustain were commissioned with the BIM-supported integrated design of the complex in 2018 following their success in a competition. The Laurin & Klement Kampus establishes a benchmark in the area of sustainability and the opening day was marked by the presentation of the Austrian Green Planet Building Award. The objective is to receive a DGNB certification in gold.
