The milling company GoodMills commissioned the Vienna office of ATP architects engineers to provide integrated design services for Europe’s most modern mill due to its many years of experience of food production.

The strategic partnership with the Zurich-based engineering company HGPC complements the integrated design process.

“Please service me!” – Is the sort of message that smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, and light bulbs are now able to send to their facility managers. And there’s more: With a click of the mouse, the photovoltaic panel in the digital building can shed light on the agreed energy concept, the lift can reveal its maintenance interval, and the door to the air-lock can name the contact person at the suppliers.

With its new service Design & Construction Management (DCM), which complements the integrated design approach, ATP architects engineers and the consultants redserve are taking another important step towards making the construction industry more sustainable.

An ecologically and economically sustainably designed production and retail facility opened recently in Pians in Tyrol. And the building attracted widespread attention during its construction phase because the ATP-led integrated digital design process (with BIM) also enabled something very special to be achieved – the world’s largest column-supported cross-laminated timber slab.
